From Belfast
Take the M1 Motorway, signed to Enniskillen and The West. Carry on until the end of the motorway (approximately 43 miles) when the road becomes the A4. Keep on the A4 (always sign posted towards Enniskillen), passing or bypassing the following villages: Ballygawley, Augher, Clogher, Fivemiletown, Brookeborough and Maguiresbridge. Approximately 40 miles from the end of the motorway, turn off to the left at the sign to Lisbellaw. This turning is approximately 5 miles before Enniskillen.
Carry on into Lisbellaw village passing the police station on the right. Immediately before the Wild Duck Inn, turn left (small signpost to Carry Bridge). After approximately 2 miles keep straight on over a crossroads (telephone box on right) following sign post to Carry Bridge and after 0.6 miles you will come to Carry Bridge with River Erne on your right. Turn left at the T-junction which is signposted BELLE ISLE, keep straight on passing a turn to the left, past a small church and lake on your left. Shortly after there are woods on both sides of the road. After another 200-250 yds, you will see a house with a telephone box and post box outside on the right. Turn right there and you are at the start of the Avenue to ‘BELLE ISLE’. Go over bridge and passing a bungalow, continue on for approximately 400 yds until you see a turning to your right, signpost marked reception. On arrival at courtyard apartments turn left and park in front of reception.
From Belfast International Airport
Leave airport on main exit. Turn right at roundabout to Craigavon and motorway M1. Take 3rd exit at next roundabout signposted A26 Craigavon. Continue on this road, following the signs A26 to Craigavon, until you come to the junction with the M1 Motorway. At this junction, turn right onto the M1 signed Enniskillen and follow directions for M1 and A4 as shown above.
From Dun Laoghaire/Dublin
Leave the ferry terminal and turn right for Dublin and follow signs for M50. Keep on the M50. At the tollbridge on the M50 (€1.30 required) take the next exit to your left, signposted N3 Cavan. Take the following route: NAVAN-KELLS-VIRGINIA-CAVAN – Join Cavan by pass at roundabout, signposted Enniskillen. At Butlersbridge, exit right on N54 signposted for Monaghan and Clones. You will reach the village of Cloverhill. Continue for a further 3 miles until you pass a filing station on the left. You should travel for 0.25 miles and take a left turn towards the village of Newtownbutler. Newtownbutler is in Northern Ireland and from there you should travel to Lisnaskea. Travel through Lisnaskea and take the first exit off the roundabout signposted for Enniskillen.
A few metres after the roundabout take the junction to your left signposted for Carry Bridge. Follow this road for 3 miles and turn left and immediately right signposted for Carry Bridge. After 2 miles you will arrive at a T-Junction turn left signposted BELLE ISLE. Continue straight on past a church and small lake on your left. Approximately 200/300 yards past the lake you will see a house on the right (with a red telephone kiosk and post box inside). Turn right here, and at which point you are at the start of the avenue to BELLE ISLE. Continue straight on until BELLE ISLE HOUSE comes into view. Keep to the right until you come to the courtyard and reception.
