How to find us

From the West from Dorchester

Take A352 signposted Wareham, then follow signs for Corfe Castle A351.

PLEASE IGNORE SATNAV DIRECTIONS GOING THROUGH CORFE CASTLE AS THEY WILL TAKE YOU OUT OF YOUR WAY ON A COUNTRY LANE.
(Do not turn left but continue through the village)

From the North from Blandford Forum

Follow the A350 signposted Bournemouth. At the junction of the A350 and A35 roundabout (dual carriageway) take the A35 signposted Dorchester/Wareham. At the Baker's Arms Public House (roundabout) take the A351 signposted Sandford/Wareham. From Wareham follow the signs for Corfe Castle.

From the East from Ringwood (suggested route - main holiday times)

Carry straight on A31 at Ringwood (not turning off for A338 as in route below). Just over a mile ahead there is a roundabout. Follow signs for Bournemouth A347 (A348) at successive roundabouts. After a mini roundabout the road becomes two-way. Go through traffic lights, follow signs for Poole A348 past Tesco. The road will become dual carriageway past B & Q. At the roundabout after the Mountbatten Roundabout, follow signs for A3049 Poole, past a second B & Q and at the next roundabout follow A35 Dorchester for 4+ miles to the Bakers Arms roundabout, where you take first exit signed A351 Wareham & Swanage on a two-way road, through Sandford (speed cameras), and from now on you follow A351 - Swanage signs until you reach Corfe Castle. For the remainder of the route use the instructions below from Corfe Castle.

From Corfe Castle continue on the A351 signposted Swanage (DO NOT turn right by end of speed limit signs and signposted signed B3069 'Langton Matravers'), after approx. 4 miles and as you approach Swanage town, there is a sharp right-hand turn signposted B3069 Langton Matravers. Continue on this road into the village past The Ship Inn, Putlake Farm, and the village Post Office, all on the left, then take the next turning on the left which is Durnford Drove. At the end of the cul-de-sac carry straight on and after 100 yards fork left into Langton House.

From the East via Sandbanks Ferry

From A31 at Ringwood (just after Garage, get in left hand lane to filter left onto slip road leading up to roundabout - signed A338 Bournemouth, Bournemouth Airport. Continue on this dual carriageway straight over first roundabout following signs for Bournemouth Town Centre/Poole A338. At the next roundabout, carry straight on - the road becomes single lane. At the next oval roundabout (Frizzell Royal Victoria, take the 2nd exit called The Avenue following signs for Canford Cliffs/Sandbanks. Continue on this road over 1st set of traffic lights until a mini roundabout then turn left. At next T-junction, turn left. Follow road and signs to ferry. From Poole there is a toll car ferry which runs from the Sandbanks Peninsula to Studland. You should expect delays during the height of the season or at peak times.

The ferry runs from Sandbanks every 20 minutes from the hour, 7am, 7.20am, 7.40am etc. until 11.00pm, and the cost is 2.20 per car, trailers are extra. (Every year, ferry is out of service for maintenance from mid November to mid December (see above for 2008). Please check at this time whether ferry is running by phoning 01929 450203). On other side, pay toll and continue on only road through Studland Village. Take next left fork signed Swanage. Follow this road and after 1 mile you will see the 'Welcome to Swanage' sign and a red phone box by a caravan site. Half a mile further on, turn right opposite a red pillar box into Washpond lane.

After 200 yards, turn left at a mini roundabout and continue on this road for 0.6 miles past Purbeck View School until you reach a T-junction. Turn right and follow this road past Texaco Garage and the Swanage Middle School on the right. Just after this, take the left fork B3069 signed Langton Matravers/Kingston. Continue on this road into the village past the Ship Inn, Putlake Farm and Post Office, then take next left turning which is Durnford Drove.
