La Gomera is the second smallest of the Canary Islands. It is calm and peaceful and provides an idyllic escape for those who visit. Ben Fogle, television presenter and all round explorer, sung the praises of this little island in a recent Telegraph article that was published in February.
Fogle explains that he first visited La Gomera in 2005 and fell so in love with the place he has been back many times since. Having explored rugged landscapes, subtropical rainforest (the Garajonay National Park) hilly terraces and pretty little fishing villages (Playa Santiago), the famous presenter describes the island as having the 'ethereal charm of a place frozen in time'. And we couldn't agree more. Read Ben Fogle's full article here.
