Physkos is located in Turunç, a little Turkish village set into a tiny bay on the Bozburun Peninsula.
Its weekly market is a treasure trove for fresh produce, knick-knacks and souvenirs. It is held on Mondays on one of the backstreets just a few minutes walk from the harbour and sells all sorts of things from fresh fruit and vegetables to the pine honey harvested in the mountains. There's leather goods, dried fruit and nuts, olives from the local groves, (fake) designer clothes, rainbow displays of spices, textiles and ornaments. It is great for picking up one or two holiday gifts! And once you have seen all that you want to of the stalls, why not stop in at the market café to cool off with a refreshing drink? The market opens around 8 in the morning and will start closing up around 4 in the afternoon. Don't miss it!
