The Jewel in Spain’s Crown: hours of sunshine, clear air and inviting beaches. Jávea is one of the most popular resorts on the Costa Blanca and lies in the shadow of the dominating Montgó Mountain. Jávea is an attractive destination with plenty to offer visitors, including some of Spain’s finest golden beaches. The resort boasts clubs, restaurants, golf courses, shooting ranges, bowling clubs and cricket pitches; enough to keep everyone entertained. Jávea has a working fishing port which is a delightful place to visit with a mixture of fishing vessels, luxury yachts and seafront cafés and bars.
Playa de Arenal is Jávea’s beach area. It is a stunning crescent-shaped beach, sandy and sheltered with a wide promenade that is lined with bars, cafés, restaurants, ice-cream parlours and gift shops. On summer evenings you can stroll along the promenade and watch the vivid sunsets before visiting the delightful stalls selling handmade crafts. The El Tosalet district offers tennis, golf, bowls, jet-ski hire, boat hire, go-carting, clay pigeon shooting and more. Scuba diving is also very popular in the area.
The Terra Natura wildlife park is perfect for children, under an hour from Jávea and with a fantastic array of wild animals and birds to see. It is located just outside of Benidorm and visitors can explore 320,000 square metres of parkland, enjoying all sorts of creatures from tigers or elephants to alpacas or parrots. Aqualandia is also a good one for a day out with a difference. All ages will enjoy the spectacular water slides, outdoor Jacuzzis, children’s play pools, white-water rapids and acres of manicured gardens.
