Take a walking tour with Helen, a member of the marvellous gardening team here at HPB Lodge Yard, and learn all about the history of the charming village of Askrigg. The Holiday Property Bond is lucky enough to have two fabulous locations here in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, both of which have rich histories themselves; in 1752, Lodge Yard was originally built as racehorse stables before being transformed into an award-winning complex in 1999. Just across the street, The Kings Arms is famous for being featured in the original series of ‘All creatures great and small’ where it was used to film the interior footage of James Herriot’s local pub, The Drover’s Arms. With this charming village dating back to 600-800 AD, there is so much to see and explore!
