Borough Gardens are situated within a few minutes' walk of the pretty town centre of Dorchester. They are a great area to take a stroll and stretch your legs. There are some lovely flowerbeds to walk among, pushchair-friendly walks, and wide open greens to sit and relax, or have a picnic by the fountain! If you fancy working up an appetite for the snack bar, then there are two tennis courts in the park or a nice children's play area to keep little ones busy.
The gardens host a number of events throughout the year, a lot of them are free; live music events and walks trails are some of the options. There is a bandstand that gets a lot of use during the spring and summer, the sloping grass in front is a good place to sit and enjoy the entertainment. If you are in the area, the gardens are well worth a visit.
