Feeling daring?
There's a new and exciting way to discover the incredible Snowdonia National Park… as long as you aren't afraid of heights…
Walking up Snowdon is stunning; hiking across the surrounding National Park is rewarding. But now you can enjoy this iconic landscape in an exhilarating new way.
Fly over rugged formations, 500 feet in the air. Soar down the mountainside, off a cliff and reach speeds of up to 100mph. Feel the wind whipping around you and enjoy spectacular views of the surroundings, the peaks below you, and the distant Anglesey and Isle of Man while you zoom towards the ground!
Zip World's 'Velocity' is the longest zip line in Europe and the fastest zip line in the world.
This is the closest you'll come to skydiving without actually having to throw yourself from a plane. Zip world offers a whole range of unique attractions in Snowdonia including cave and treetop adventures too. Velocity is a zip wire almost a mile in length and propels you headfirst off a cliff and downwards over a picturesque quarry lake. It's an unforgettable experience. As you travel through the air you will enjoy stunning and unique views of the Snowdonia National Park.
If it sparks your fancy, why not take a look at the zip world website to find out more information? You'll find FAQs and restrictions as well as the booking pages. Certainly one to try while you're staying just half an hour away at Henllys, if you feel up to the challenge!
Zip world has three different locations across Snowdonia, so where you head to will depend on what activity you fancy. If it is Velocity that you are after then the site you'll need is located close to Bethesda in North Wales. If you're coming from Henllys you'll find it off the A5. There will be a car park with facilities and from here trucks will transport you to the top of the line.
