Situated in the fashionable southwest corner of Majorca, La Reserva de Biniorella is an exclusive country club development covering over 88,000 square feet. Perched on a beautifully wooded hilltop overlooking the ‘cala’ – the small bay of Camp de Mar – the complex offers holidaymakers three pools, a leisure centre, bar, restaurant and of course the most enthralling Mediterranean views.

Try your hand at sailing

If you wish to set sail while you’re in Majorca, then you’re in luck. Sailing is popular here and consequently there are plenty of companies that will rent you a boat or yacht for the day. This gives you an opportunity to view parts of the coast you wouldn’t otherwise get to see.

Alternatively, you can watch the experts race against each other in one of the many international regattas hosted here each year.

Take in some culture at Majorca’s many museums and art galleries

Head to the island’s capital, Palma, for a wealth of museums, art galleries and other cultural activities. The world-class exhibitions change regularly, and showcase the work of both new and renowned artists. There’s always something new to see and the cultural events held here attract arts lovers from all corners of the globe. They aren’t to be missed.

Bring home some local handicrafts

You can’t go home without bringing back a few souvenirs, and Majorca’s local markets are the place to find gifts for all the family, and yourself of course. You’ll get to see glass blowers and potters in action, and will have the chance to purchase leather products, fresh produce, clothes, household goods and much more.

Treat the kids to a day at the aquarium

Home to Europe’s deepest shark tank, Palma Aquarium really is one of the best. During your visit you’ll see more than 700 species of sea-dwelling creatures, from scary sharks to graceful sea turtles.

Alternatively, you could take the kids to Marineland in Magaluf, which has penguins, sea lions and various reptiles. While you’re in the area, why not spend the afternoon at Western Water Park? There are plenty of rides here for adrenaline junkies, as well as gentler ones for younger children.

Play a round of golf on one of Majorca’s first-class courses

There are more than 20 championship golf courses in Majorca, making it a paradise for those who love the sport. No matter how advanced you are at golf, there’s a suitable course to play through. With the Mediterranean Sea’s gentle, cool breezes and the hot sun shining on you, Majorca is the perfect place to play a spot of golf.

Shops and restaurants

Camp de Mar is a short 10-minute walk away, with a small selection of shops, restaurants and bars, a mini market and a good sandy beach.

Peguera is a busy little town with many shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars, as well as two good beaches and plenty of water sports.

Port d’Andratx, on the other side of the hill, is a quaint natural port with upmarket restaurants and shops. Andratx itself is a local county town with some shops and a good weekly market.

On-site amenities

Biniorella has excellent on-site facilities. We have:

• two large outdoor swimming pools
• a further covered pool, which is heated in the winter
• a children’s playground
• two tennis courts
• petonc, snooker, table tennis and golf driving nets
• a business centre equipped with free internet access
• outdoor gym equipment
• BBQ Area

In addition, there is a laundry area and a room for guests to use for early arrivals or late departures on changeover days.

The clubhouse has a very nice restaurant (www.lareserva.co.uk), which also offers take-away meals, a bar and a small shop. At least once a week, an evening of live music and dancing is held.

On-site entertainment

Most weeks, we hold a Social BBQ on a Wednesday. If you bring your own food, Biniorella supply the wine. We hold a Dinner Dance on a Sunday and a show most weeks, of either Flamenco or the classical Spanish guitar (from April to October). Once a week we hold a Quiz evening in the Club Room and a pilates and aquaretics sessions.

Excursions

In Biniorella, we offer a wide variety of excursions throughout the year. The programme varies with the seasons and the weather. However, the most popular weekly trips include:

• A guided walk (usually every Wednesday from October to May).
• A weekly Sunday excursion to Soller and Port Soller, including the Vintage Tram and the Vintage Train from Soller to Bunyola.
• An excursion to Palma every Thursday.

Other non-exclusive excursions can be booked at Reception, taking in the island’s most spectacular landmarks and attractions (including Formentor, Sineu and the Caves of Drac to name a few).

We also arrange accompanied evening trips to the island’s many fiestas, fairs and other regular celebrations – including the New Year Concert, the Easter Parade and other annual events commemorating famous battles between the Moors and Christians.

During school holidays we run all sorts of activities and tennis classes for all ages.

Properties in Majorca

Comprising 98 apartments, bungalows and villas in the largest Balearic Island’s exclusive south-west corner, La Reserva de Biniorella is a great holiday destination at any time, but perhaps particularly as an escape from the British winter, with many holidaymakers opting to spend a number of weeks, or even months, at the site.

Perhaps because, however long your stay, there is never any shortage of things to do. Play a little tennis. Have a swim. Enjoy drinks and a meal at the on-site bar and restaurant. Or maybe wander down to Camp de Mar, buy a glass of Tempranillo, and watch the waves gently lapping at the sandy beach.

Each property has a balcony or terrace with patio furniture, many enjoying stunning sea views. The buildings and pavements are attractively faced with mares (a typical local honey-coloured stone).

The development has been carefully landscaped with attractive walkways, terraces, ornamental ponds and patios shaded by orange trees. Together with well-tended gardens and bougainvillea, which has spread across the walls and pergolas.
